Counseling Services

Our philosophy stems from the premise that every family and individual has strengths and capabilities that can be developed to help them sustain a drug free, healthy lifestyle. Everyone who comes through our door is treated with courtesy, consideration, respect, and with the recognition of every person’s dignity, individuality and the right to privacy.

Our office hours are 8 AM to 7 PM Monday through Thursday, and 8 AM to 5 PM Friday. We have staff available throughout the day to meet your scheduling needs. Our Intensive Outpatient Program meets on Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays from 6 PM to 9 PM.

When you call the Center for Prevention and Counseling, your first interaction will be with one of our admissions coordinators. They will orient you to our programs and funding options. The Center has many options available for those who are unable to pay for treatment, such as county and state funding. We will ask you questions to find out what programs you will be eligible for and to determine your treatment needs.

A comprehensive evaluation may be recommended to ensure you are placed in the appropriate level of care.

Our clinical team is dedicated to ensuring best practices in treatment of substance use, mental health and co-occurring disorders. All of our committed team members are trained in a variety of treatment interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Motivational Enhancement Therapy, 12 Step Facilitation Therapy and Family Systems Therapy. Our team meets regularly each week to ensure all of our clients needs are being met to the best of our ability.

We understand that all people are individuals and their treatment should reflect that. Your input is valuable to us. You will work with your counselor to create a comprehensive treatment plan which addresses your personal needs and concerns.

If you are in need of more intensive services, whether it is with us or another agency, we will work with you to ensure you receive the treatment you need. Recovery is possible! It starts with the first phone call.
