Our Mission
Building a stronger Hopatcong by strengthening community collaborations to prevent and reduce youth substance use specifically focusing on Underage Alcohol Use.
Hopatcong STOP Grant
The Hopatcong STOP Grant is a federally funded initiative aimed at preventing underage drinking and substance misuse among youth in the Hopatcong community. STOP (Strategies for Targeting Underage Prevention) Grants support evidence-based programs, community outreach, and youth engagement efforts to reduce alcohol and drug-related risks.
Through collaboration with local schools, law enforcement, and community organizations, the Hopatcong STOP Grant promotes education, enforcement, and positive alternatives for youth. Programs may include awareness campaigns, prevention education, leadership opportunities, and special events that recognize and reinforce healthy decision-making.
By empowering youth and fostering community partnerships, the Hopatcong STOP Grant helps create a safer, healthier environment for Hopatcong’s young people.
Our Goals
- Establish and strengthen community collaboration
- Reduce underage alcohol use, perception of risk and also parental perception of risk through education and awareness

Youth Leadership Town Hall
What a success! We had over 125 community members join us at this event to honor youth who have made positive decisions in Hopatcong. The youth honored were those who have received a positive ticket from their School Resource Officer, or entered one of our Youth PSA Contests. Awards were presented by Mayor Marie Galate and SRO Lucciani.
