Prescription Drugs

Every day, more than 2,000 kids use a prescription drug to get high for the first time. Medicine abuse is an epidemic affecting teenagers across the country.

The Parents360 Rx Action Toolkit is an easy-to-use tool that you can use to share information with parents and other concerned citizens about the real dangers of medicine abuse and the actions that can be taken to prevent and respond to it. Check it out at pact360.org/programs/parents360rx.

Prescription Drug Drop Box Flyers - Coalition members visited every pharmacy in the county last month, delivering flyers publicizing the locations of the county’s five permanent medication drop boxes. Click here for dropbox locations. One coalition member stated that every pharmacist took one look at the flyer and said “Wow, thanks so much, do you know how many calls I get each day?!” “Now, I know where to send them!”

To find out where you can safely and securely dispose of your unwanted over-the-counter or prescription pills, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, click on the drop box image above.

Want to take it further? Share this link, Rx Drop Box Locations, or the flyer with family, friends and coworkers via email! Additionally, we can do a short presentation about prescription drug abuse trends and prevention (we can include other drugs too!) in your office, house of worship, or community. Please call Ayla at 973-383-4787 for more information.
