RISE is Sussex County, New Jersey’s first and only youth-forward magazine – created because young people asked for a real platform to share their hopes, struggles, questions, creativity, and dreams… and we listened. RISE gives young people a way to share what’s real: their hopes, struggles, creativity and dreams — not only with their peers but with the broader community, including parents, teachers, coaches, employers, business owners, and local leaders.

Rooted in one of the most effective, evidence-based prevention strategies: social norming, RISE elevates authentic youth stories to challenge the harmful assumptions, and reinforces the powerful truth, most young people are making thoughtful, healthy decisions, and their voices deserve to be seen and heard.

RISE is bi-annual community magazine by youth, for everyone. Inside each issue you’ll find youth-written stories, art, tips and reflections, plus prevention-minded content that supports mental wellness, healthy choices and hope.
