The Center for Prevention and Counseling will be hosting WISE Spring Social Series, a wellness program for ages 55 and up at Dorothy E. Henry Memorial Library in Vernon beginning Monday March 18th from 930-1130am. The Wellness Initiative for Senior Education program (WISE) is a six-week program that celebrates healthy aging and educates older adults on a variety of topics. Workshop topics include alternative approaches to pain management, safe use of medications, how to communicate with your healthcare provider and how to make healthy lifestyle choices. WISE empowers participants to become more aware of how they can take control of their health and wellness. It also provides participants with an opportunity to socialize and connect with services available to them in their community. A complimentary light breakfast will be provided at each session and a gift card incentive is provided to those participants that attend 5 out of 6 WISE sessions.
Funding is provided through NJ Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
Registration is required. Please contact Michelle Bove from The Center for Prevention and Counseling at 973-383-4787 ext.231 or [email protected]
